Mark Zimmerman serves as the General Manager of the Georgia World Congress Center and has been involved in the growth and management of this world renowned facility for over 30 years. A Native of Michigan, Mark has been very active in industry and civic affairs since his arrival in Atlanta.
Widely regarded as a significant engine of the state, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority owns and operates the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC), the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park. GWCAA facilities exist for the primary purpose of promoting and facilitating events and activities that generate economic benefits to its citizens as well as enhance the quality of life for every Georgian.
Mark has been recognized by his team and clients as a collaborative leader and communicator. His personable approach combined with his capable and dependable management style, continue to keep clients coming back to the GWCC as it continues to be a leader in such facilities around the world.
Mark is a graduate of Northwood University in Michigan and has been active in many industry Associations and frequent speaker in the meetings and conventions arena. He is an active member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events and intimately involved in the Southeast Chapter.
